Why would I make such a statement? This is not simply a equine therapy or equine massage program…it is a complete experience which will show you who, and what you are, revealing your strengths and short comings, preparing you to be successful with the horses. This is important since 85% of those in massage “DON’T MAKE IT,” in the real world of equine massage, or human massage, according to the massage teachers I have talked with over the years.

In the mid 90's when I started my school I thought I was going to be teaching the typical equine massage/therapy school, with the usual limited subjects of anatomy, marketing, and massage. I was wrong; it would eventually become the most advanced and needed program for horse AND human. I had no idea that a equine massage program could produce such passion in a person, a simple thing such as horse massage was showing me the lost child in my students had finally made its way home. What it was to do for me was more than I would have imagined back in 1997.

I came to see early on, IT WASN'T ABOUT THE HORSE! I was getting students who were looking for answers in life, and they had turned to the horse with hopes they would find what was missing inside of them selves.

Marriage problems, lacking direction, going after child hood dreams, or simply just trying to find them selves was my typical student. My program provided answers they felt they desperately needed, and when they went through my website it was easy to see they would be doing more than learning how to do a great horse massage. You can see this in the letters of endorsement on my site. Of course, there were those students who knew where they were in life and simply saw my school as a way of achieving their goal in a fun way. I had adopted the fun way to education, because I love to have fun. Not the typical sterol approach of memorizing subject matter, which simply was not real world, only textbook theory.

In looking at my accomplishments, students would want to attend my school just to see, how one person could have accomplished so much in their lifetime. Sadly, there are some who simply are not up to the task of going through what it takes to achieve the many experiences life offers us, yet, with the proper education could.

Over the years I have produced many fine students who have found the keys to loving life, fixing their marriages, or simply succeeding at what ever it was they were trying to do. In a word, Geary Whiting's Equine Massage School For Horse and Rider gave them back their E-MOTION or passion for living and doing. All this and learning to do a really Great job massaging horses.

One of my early students was a stand up comedian, his stage name was “The Buzzard”. His character, a high society, dignified street bum, who would smoke the best of cigarette buts from the ground, quite the proper fellow one could say. I had a difficult time at first trying to figure out if the Buzzard or Nicky had come to my equine therapy program, a lot of one liners getting laughs out of the rest of the students, insecure. By the time Friday had arrived, he was not trying to make people laugh, he had found his purpose. The massage test was something to behold, I have not found many students to rival him in passion and romance for the horse. It was quite a transformation. It is to this man I owe the unique direction of my program. Nicky also brought out the more sensitive side of the teacher. Even teachers have teachers!

When I recognized his need to be accepted in life, I re-directed my program on Tuesday of that week. The outcome would be the standard I would pursue, that of being instrumental in changing peoples lives.

Thank you Nicky, for setting my direction in giving people purpose in life, taking them from the state of Dis-ease back to E-motion, and not having to live Diseased.

As you take the tour, you will see that my program is exciting and complete as well as life changing. If you are a person who only wishes to learn how to massage a horse, please look at another school, but if you wish to have your heart massaged along with the horses you will be working on while here, then please, come to my program. Who knows, somewhere along the way after graduating from my school, you may be fortunate enough to come across Nicky, aka, The Buzzard. It has been a while, but I think of the Buzzard often, and wonder what adventures he is up to. Hopefully, one day, he will stroll back to school and visit...here is to all of you Buzzards out there. Hello to everyone who may be reading testimonials about ''Geary Whitings Equine Massage school for Horse and Rider''.

My name is Meladee Ann Tyrrell, I'm 56 years old, and I attended/graduated Gearys ''Equine Massage School for Horse and Rider'', class of November 2007.

I arrived at his school very pale, very weak and still quite sick, but in all sincere thanks and credit to Geary, I left school a week later mentally/physically healthier, much stronger, and a very proud graduated student. So I'd like to share the story of how that all came about with you, to hopefully give you some insight to what sort of man you'll be meeting and studying under,
and the life long benefits/teachings of choosing his school:

I checked Geary out extensively on line, personally, professionally and the Equine school itself. Needless to say I was quite amazed to find that his career and the endless, impressive accomplishments in his lifetime, was truly amazing for just one man and quite lengthy to say the very least. His drive, his energy, his positive outlook on life, his business sense and his personal ''goal setting'' is highly contagious, so fair warning! After my research I soon wanted desperately to attend Geary's ''smoke free'' school, so I quit smoking cold turkey the day I made my class deposit after 40 years of smoking 2 packs of Camels a day. My body in turn, reacted violently to the nicotine withdrawals and stress, and I was soon diagnosed with a severe case of interior and exterior shingles. Rendering me helplessly bedridden for 6 very painful weeks and simply heart broken thinking I would miss school.

It was during that time that I spoke to Geary for the first time on the telephone. It was as if I was talking to an old friend, not someone I had never met, as the man is pure ''down home country'' and very comfortable to sit and converse with. That ''positive in-put'' hour long conversation was the beginning of a very wonderful life changing experience for me. And his name was Geary Whiting.

As to this day I have never forgotten his ''above and beyond'' kindness, his comforting words of encouragement, hope and emotional support, nor his promise to help me heal my body and my immune system, plus keep it healthy in the future, if I could only get up out of bed and get to him down in California. And I did.

He went well beyond the expectations of your ''every day teacher'' once I got there too, as the man truly and deeply cares about people in general and above all else, his students, their well being, and their success.

So true to his word, heal me the dear man did, as that's one of his many endless talents, mentally and physically healing people and horses. And he does it up right.

So when you read his words advertising ''a school for horse AND rider'', know it's quite true, and well worth every red cent you'll spend for tuition. His school...I could go on and on about that as it's still one of my favorite memories and subjects:

His stress free, kicked back atmosphere, and the endless laughter filled teachings during his classes, guaranteed to make even the shyest of students comfortable, his deep human compassion, his big, kind heart and true caring for each and every students physical and mental well being, let alone their understanding/learning of Equine Massage and all it entails, the personal one on one time he makes to be with each student and answer each and every question or concern,his extensive background of body building, resistant weight training and vitamin therapy, guaranteed to make the weak and sick, like myself, strong and healthy again, (which is important when you're massaging a thousand pound horse!) his endless fountain of knowledge for Equine Massage/horses and business,his honesty, integrity, morals, beliefs and values in life, which are excellent and very admirable,and his willingness to always be available for you long after you graduate goes far beyond what any other school could possibly offer you. So I highly recommend that if you are thinking of a career in this field to choose his school!

Those of us that have, and graduated are sure glad/blessed we did. You will not only leave class a knowledgeable, confident graduate, but also a true friend of his for life.As helping people and teaching people is his true calling in life and a God given talent. And he does it so very well.
